What is a Digital Team Course
- Imagine a workshop with your team, where you get both theory and exercises along the way, so that you constantly connect the topic to your context and everyday life.
- We review the key parts of the theory and tools on video, and then we spice it up with little exercises that we set you up to do along the way. You get a common language and with the carefully selected discussions along the way, you go from there with experiences, which shoots all traditional e-learning to corner.
- The leader or a team member facilitates the sessions: convenes workshops, starts and stops the video along the way, and helps to pick up.
- Yes - it's a slightly different way of going about things. In fact, we find that it can create a safer space for many, since you do not have any guests with you. You pull up your sleeves yourselves, and that actually makes it work really well for the managers who typically facilitate the sessions.

The numbers might make most HR leaders sweat — but it was easier than expected. One of our clients in the financial sector has a business unit with 800 employees.
Senior leadership prioritizes psychological safety highly:
"If we don’t work in a psychologically safe environment, we simply won’t succeed in our mission. Our work requires us to share our ideas and perspectives—even when it’s difficult."
But how do you make this a reality?
The Method: Digital Facilitation Through Leaders
They used our digital program, equipping leaders to facilitate team sessions within their teams. The process followed these steps:
- Baseline Measurement: An engagement survey was conducted to assess the starting point.
- Leadership Training: Senior leaders attended in-person workshops to prepare for rolling out the digital learning journey.
- Clear Timeframe: A deadline was set for when all teams had to complete their workshops.
- Experience Sharing: A mid-way town hall was held, where leaders exchanged insights.
- Common Language & Tools: Employees completed the final workshops, reinforcing psychological safety.
- Impact Measurement: A follow-up engagement survey showed significant improvements on four key questions:
- My leader fosters a culture of trust and openness.
- We respect and trust each other.
- I frequently receive constructive feedback.
- We openly discuss mistakes to learn from them.
The Results
Teams that completed the program saw significant improvements. Business areas without similar initiatives showed no comparable progress.

How Odense Municipality Strengthened Psychological Safety
The Elderly and Disability Administration in Odense Municipality aimed to enhance psychological safety among their leaders to improve communication and collaboration. Although the leadership team was committed to continuous improvement, they faced challenges in implementing psychological safety, affecting their ability to communicate openly and work effectively with employees.
Identified Challenges
- Different Perceptions of Psychological Safety
Many leaders believed that the level of psychological safety was already high. However, throughout the program, they discovered that perceptions varied, highlighting the need for better alignment. - Isolation in Leadership Roles
Leaders lacked a safe space to share concerns and exchange experiences, leading to a sense of loneliness in their roles. - Lack of Structure and Feedback
Leadership meetings and dialogues lacked structure and clear objectives, reducing their effectiveness and limiting opportunities for constructive feedback.
Implemented Solutions
In collaboration with Feedwork, the administration developed a digital learning journey consisting of modules, workshops, leadership coaching, and advisory support. The program involved 200 leaders across five levels, starting with the executive team, where the CEO facilitated the process. It was then cascaded down from level 3 leaders to their direct reports. Leaders were supported with instructional videos and structured guides to facilitate the program within their teams.

Increased psychological safety among leaders led to improved relationships and well-being, with expected positive effects on employees. - Improved Communication and Collaboration

Overall, through Feedwork’s digital learning journey, the Elderly and Disability Administration in Odense Municipality successfully strengthened psychological safety among their leaders. This has not only improved internal leadership relationships and well-being but has also created a stronger and more cohesive organizational culture, expected to benefit the entire administration moving forward.

Danni originally trained as a civil engineer in robotics, but since 2014, he has dedicated himself to developing leaders and teams. His journey has led him to earn a Master’s in Management and Organizational Psychology from Aalborg University. Known for his charisma and keen insights, clients often describe Danni as a powerful storyteller who can challenge perspectives and inspire motivation.

How much time does the program require from the leader and the team?
The team will participate in two team sessions of approximately 2 hours each, in total about 4 hours. Additionally, the leader's or facilitator's preparation time totals approximately 1 hour in total.

Can the sessions be conducted virtually for teams that are not physically together?
Yes.

The program has been tested with teams ranging from 2 to 25 employees and works perfectly well with teams of that size. In the facilitator guide, we provide guidance on how to facilitate for both large and small teams.
