When Annette Bitz, Head of Biosafety & Sustainability, reflects on her experience with our digital team progression in feedback, she can't help but express her excitement: “Our assessment of Feedworks' digital team progression in feedback is that it has been extremely valuable!” she tells and highlights the great importance the training has had for her global team.
One of the standout aspects of the digital team progression was its adaptability for teams spread across different locations. Annette stresses that “it is suitable for global teams because everyone goes through the same process,” ensuring that all team members, regardless of their location, are aligned. The format (that one can sit together hybrid) was particularly beneficial as it allowed the team to engage and collaborate despite geographical barriers. That's why it was so easy to implement. One of the team sessions, the team had a rare opportunity to meet face to face, which Annette described as “more present and in-depth”. While the hybrid team session ensured inclusivity and effectiveness across locations, the physical interaction added a depth to her team.
Through this training, Annette's team has developed a common language around feedback. “Everyone recognizes that feedback is a gift and essential to our development and motivation,” she explains. This change in perspective has created a more open environment and made feedback a key element of their team culture. As they look to the future, feedback will remain a key focus ensuring it remains a cornerstone of their culture to promote the mental health and satisfaction needed to ensure growth and development.
One of the most significant changes to have emerged from the training was the decision to integrate feedback into their fixed meeting structure. “Among other things, we decided to make feedback part of our team meeting structure,” notes Annette. Feedback is now a firm item on the agenda in select meetings, reflecting the team's dedication to improving how feedback is given and received, while encouraging team members to actively seek it out.
In conclusion, Annette's experience with Feedwork has not only transformed her team's approach to feedback, but also laid the foundation for a supportive, growth-oriented culture. With feedback now recognized as a crucial tool for motivation and development, it is exciting to imagine the continued progress her team will achieve in the future.
